RC Racing Product Hints
We will be continuously updating our "Helpful Hints" section, so if we haven't answered your question below, Please send us a message through our "Contact Us" section, and we will be happy to provide as much detail as possible.
IT IS ALWAYS A GOOD IDEA TO READ THE OPERATING MANUAL COMPLETELY, PRIOR TO BEGINNING YOUR RACING ENJOYMENT!
Painting Preparation - ALWAYS PAINT UNDERSIDE OF BODY
- All kits are complete with a Decal (Sticker Package) which contain window decals for the outside of the body, which can easily be used as inside window masks for a clear window look
- We highly suggest the use of "Paint for Lexan" be used, as we learned the hard way that standard enamel paint will work, but will not hold up with the beating and banging of actual racing conditions. Our lexan body will withstand just about anything other than a head-on collision with a brick wall at 50 mph or a garbage truck, but the Lexan paint, applied in thin layers will provide the appearance you will be proud of. This paint is available at most local Hobby stores, and we are currently working with the a manufacturer to make it available through our web site.
- Standard masking tape can easily be applied to the underside of the body to create the color scheme of your choice, and be sure to spray the dark color first, if you plan to use more than one color
Additional Battery for Electric Car
- Our Electric Car Kit can accommodate an additional battery which will extend running time by 8-10 minutes, and comes in handy you have traveled to a parking lot for unimpeded racing enjoyment. We have them available in our accessories section. The battery in our Electric car is 7.2 Vdc - 1300 mAh and is available at your local hobby store, in fact, we have experimented with up to 1500 mAh batteries and they work just fine!
Charging Battery for Electric Car
- The 7.2 V battery has a memory to some extent, and needs to be fully charged and fully discharged for the best results. Be sure to fully charge the battery the first time, making sure it doesn't get too hot during the first 30 minute charge. Read battery charging section in the Operating manual before you charge the battery the first time.
